Ladies Colour Analysis
The colours we choose to wear not only affect us, but also everyone that we come into contact with.
Most people I know say ‘I have nothing to wear’, but when we go through their wardrobe it’s full clothes of a similar colour! No wonder they feel they have nothing to wear, because subconsciously we are in need of different colours at different times. Once you know the tones and shades that suit you best, keep a selection of these colours in your wardrobe and don’t be afraid to wear them.
You may think that certain colours don’t suit you, but once you know the correct tones and shades you can wear almost any colour. Colour analysis can determine which colours most compliment your complexion, hair and eye colour. Personality also has a part to play in determining the best colours for you. Below is a short summary of some of the characteristics you may recognise in yourself.
When having your ‘colours done’ choose a consultant who has also studied the psychology of colour, unfortunately I have seen far too many people whose personality is flatterned by the colour choices they make. Spring – warm – bright – light
Their natural look is lively and vivid but if wearing the wrong colours they can look tired, dull and lifeless.
Summer – cool – muted – light
Their natural look is elegant, soft, delicate, translucent but if wearing the wrong colours they can look tired, overwhelmed and drained.
Autumn – warm – muted – deep
Their natural look is rich and earthy but if wearing the wrong colours she can look garish and flat.
Winter – cool – bright – deep
Their natural look is dramatic, strong, icy and bold but if wearing the wrong colours they can look drab, washed out, boring and older.
